 Parede float canceled
I hated to do it, but I just couldn’t get any interest. The parade is smack dab in the middle of a three-day weekend … who could blame anyone? So, if you donated candy we have it here and will gladly give it back. Thanks.
We will be closed Monday, July 5.
4- and 5-year-old field trips!
We have many wonderful field trips planned for this summer for children who are 4 and up. We can always use parent help for our adventures, so please visit with your child's teacher to see the field trip schedule and determine which one you would like to join! We will be going to Ryan Dam on Monday August 23 and need many parents on that day.
Other trips:
- June 25, Giant Springs, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- July 2, Water Tower, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- July 23, Mitchell Pool, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- August 13, Jaycee Spray Park, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- August 23 Elks Riverside Park, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Summer vacation schedules
Each classroom will have vacation forms for you to fill out. We would like to know your plans so that we can staff accordingly.
Procare upgrade
We want to give you warning that we are upgrading our child-care software in July. The upgrade involves an improved security system which will require new PIN numbers and possible security codes. We are in the process of learning it. We ask that you have patience and understanding while we all work through the kinks of an upgrade! Again, the upgrade will take place in July.
Staffing updates
We are experiencing our typical summer transition in enrollment. We have openings in the Red Room for 2 year olds but no one on the waiting list for that age group. Because our enrollment is "funky" right now, we are going to juggle some staff into different rooms and move some children into the next class where we can. I am doing this so that the employees don't lose hours over the summer … no one can afford that. By fall, the enrollment is where it needs to be and we will return to normal.
