May 5 – 9 South of the Border

This week we will be learning lots about southern cooking. We’ll investigate bell peppers and make guacamole and quesadillas. We also will make pictures using green, red and white. We also will be reading the book Borregita and the Coyote.

May 12-16 Fun and Fantasy

This week we will be talking about fairies, princesses and all sorts of fairy tales. We’ll dress up like royalty, read books like Shrek and Alice the Fairy. Also we’ll have clean mud in the sensory table and make princess pictures.

May 19-23 Fields and Streams

We’ll be talking about what lives in fields and streams and dress up in rain boots and explorer clothes. We’ll have the opportunity to play with magic sand and water. We’ll also be making butterfly pictures.

May 26-30 Moving On

This week we’ll be talking about things that fly. We’ll bubble paint, make hot air balloons and read Hot Air Henry. We’ll also be doing a Diet Coke Explosion experiment (this will be on Wednesday afternoon May 27 if any parents would like to come).
